ΔΙΕΘΝΗΣ ΕΝΩΣΗ ΒΥΖΑΝΤΙΝΩΝ ΣΠΟΥΔΩΝ (AIEB)
Η Διεθνής Ένωση Βυζαντινών Σπουδών (Association Internationale des Études Byzantines – AIEB) ιδρύθηκε το 1948, λίγο μετά την λήξη του Β΄ Παγκοσμίου Πολέμου. Της ίδρυσής της προηγήθηκαν γόνιμες ζυμώσεις κατά τη διάρκεια των βυζαντινολογικών συνεδρίων που διοργανώνονταν τότε.
Η Διεθνής Επιτροπή, συγκροτούμενη από τρεις εκπροσώπους εθνικών επιτροπών, μελών της Ένωσης, συνιστά το μόνιμο εκτελεστικό όργανο της AIEB.
